Hermit Songs

These ten poems were written by anonymous Irish monks from the 8th to the 13th centuries. The poems were translated by various authors and arranged to music by Samuel Barber in 1953. I have copied the poems here and added links between them based on similar themes or words shared between the cycle of poems.
